The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has demanded an impartial and time-bound probe by central agencies into the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and examination irregularities. In a statement on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Andhra Pradesh State secretary Y. Venkata Gopi voiced concern over questions surrounding the confidentiality and credibility of the entrance test. He stressed that any compromise with the sanctity of such exams is unacceptable and amounts to injustice toward lakhs of students. ABVP strongly opposed the irregularities from the very beginning and urged strict action. “Students' future is not a game. No compromise on justice. No compromise on transparency,” the group said in a social-media post.
Mr. Gopi urged the Central Government to take stringent action against all those involved, including examination mafias and their supporters, while also calling on the National Testing Agency (NTA) to maintain full transparency during the investigation. He noted that irregularities in exams like NEET affect students' morale and futures and called for tougher technical security, stricter paper confidentiality, rigorous monitoring of examination centres, and clear institutional accountability to prevent a repeat.
Reports in recent weeks have highlighted the scale of the controversy, with claims that “guess papers” circulated ahead of NEET-UG 2026 and that hundreds of leaked questions matched those that appeared in the final paper. While officials have not yet confirmed a cancellation, ABVP's warning follows statements that the exam may be rescheduled if leaks are substantiated. Advocates say such steps are essential to restore trust in a process that decides the futures of countless aspiring medical students.
ABVP’s call adds to a broader debate about exam integrity in the country, with medical bodies and student groups pressing for robust security and accountability to ensure a fair and credible testing environment for every applicant.
