TCS Nashik Harassment Case: Woman Alleges Abuse; SIT Probes Nine FIRs
A TCS Nashik employee alleges harassment and forced religious conversion; SIT probes nine FIRs as eight suspects are arrested.
A Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) employee in Nashik has come forward with a harrowing account of sexual harassment and alleged forced religious conversion by colleagues at the Nashik BPO unit. She is among more than half a dozen women who have made similar allegations, triggering a police investigation.
She joined the Nashik unit after her marriage, working as an associate. Her training began on June 24, 2025, with reports that the training was led by Shahrukh Qureshi and Jayesh Gunjal. The woman said that team lead Raza Memon, who heads the loans section in the BPO, would repeatedly approach her in the training room to ask about her personal life. He allegedly asked, since her husband lived apart, how she managed everything, and “Don’t you get scared?” before offering help.
Raza Memon’s family has claimed that the allegations are motivated by office politics and are false. The case has drawn the attention of authorities, with a Special Investigation Team (SIT) taking over the probe. Eight people have been arrested so far, and a total of nine FIRs have been filed in relation to the case.
Police say Nida Khan, identified in reports as a suspected mastermind, is absconding and being traced through technical surveillance and field operations. In parallel, a pregnant employee facing an anticipatory bail request was reported by some outlets as not receiving relief, with the court set to hear the plea again on a later date.
TCS has condemned the incident, reiterating its zero-tolerance policy toward harassment and coercion. The unfolding case highlights ongoing concerns about workplace safety and the mechanisms in place to protect employees from harassment and coercion while ensuring due process for the accused.
