Delhi is abuzz with unusual posters recently spotted near the Congress' Indira Bhawan headquarters and in parts of central Delhi. These eye-catching posters playfully compare Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to none other than the iconic caped crusader, Batman.
The posters feature Rahul Gandhi's image alongside a picture of Batman, adorned with captions like "The Silent Guardian" and "A Watchful Protector." Another prominent caption boldly declares, "LoP Rahul Gandhi - The Real Life Batman."
These intriguing displays are courtesy of Akshay Lakra, the chief of Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress. They were strategically placed near the entrance of the Congress headquarters at Kotla Road and close to the Indian Youth Congress office on Raisina Road.
The timing of these posters is no coincidence. They emerged just days after Rahul Gandhi participated in an 'Ask Me Anything' session on Instagram, engaging with Gen Z. During this session, he was directly asked, "Are you Batman?"
Gandhi's response was as witty as it was diplomatic, sidestepping a direct comparison to the Gotham hero. He humorously replied, "Let's just say that no one has ever seen me and Batman in the same room together." This clever retort, echoing a classic superhero trope, further fueled the public's imagination and likely inspired the recent poster campaign.
