4,172 Candidates Take SI Recruitment Test in Virudhunagar
Thousands of hopefuls converged in Virudhunagar for the Tamil Nadu police Sub-Inspector written test, held across four centres with a large hall-ticket turnout.
A total of 4,172 candidates turned up for the written test conducted by Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board for recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspector of Police, in Virudhunagar district on Sunday. This included 3,276 men and 896 women. The candidates appeared in four centres set up in Virudhunagar, Krishnankoil, and Sattur. Inspector General of Police, CSCID, Rupesh Kumar Meena, who is the Special Check Officer for the examination, along with Virudhunagar Superintendent of Police, D. Kannan, inspected the examination centres.
A total of 6,226 candidates, including 4,747 men and 1,479 women, had been issued hall tickets to appear for the test. This indicates a strong level of interest in the Sub-Inspector role under the police department and reflects the scale of recruitment efforts in the district.
Officials from the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board and district police inspected the examination centres to oversee arrangements, aiming for a smooth conduct of the test across all four locations. Further steps in the recruitment process will follow the board's guidelines after the examination concludes.
