Mahindra is stepping up its electric SUV lineup with the XEV 9S, a seven-seat model built from the ground up on the INGLO architecture. Priced starting at ₹19.9 lakh, it’s positioned as a spacious, tech-forward option for families and EV enthusiasts, aiming to push India’s EV adoption further. The company has announced that bookings will open on January 14, 2026, with deliveries beginning on January 23, 2026.
The XEV 9S is offered with three battery pack options: 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh. Performance figures reflect this range, with peak power rated at 170 kW for the 59 kWh pack, 180 kW for the 70 kWh pack, and 210 kW for the 79 kWh pack, underscoring Mahindra’s emphasis on combining ample interior space with strong on-road performance.
Built to be India’s first authentic electric-origin 7-seater SUV, the XEV 9S showcases Mahindra’s commitment to space, power, and next-generation technology on a single platform. It represents a bold step in Mahindra’s broader push into electric mobility, offering a versatile option for families and fleets alike, while reinforcing the automaker’s role in shaping India’s EV landscape.
