Rajpal Yadav Receives Industry Backing Amid Cheque-Bounce Case
Radha Yadav says the film industry has stood by Rajpal Yadav as he begins a jail term for cheque-bounce, with celebrities offering help.
Rajpal Yadav’s wife Radha Yadav spoke on Wednesday about the strong support pouring in from the film industry after the actor surrendered to Tihar jail authorities in connection with cheque-bounce cases. The Delhi High Court had rejected his plea for more time to repay the outstanding amount, and Yadav was sent to Tihar to begin serving the term. He owes nearly Rs 9 crore.
Radha emphasized that the industry has rallied behind him, saying, 'The industry has been supportive.' Several big names have stepped forward to help, including Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, David Dhawan, Varun Dhawan, and Guru Randhawa, who have offered financial assistance or extended support to the family. Yadav’s manager Goldie said many people have reached out, noting that promises may take time to translate into actual transfers, but the industry’s backing has been a rock for the family.
In statements shared by the actor’s team, contacts with various celebrities were described as commitments rather than immediate payouts. The manager added that while help is being arranged, the social support from peers has already provided relief to the family during this difficult period. The case revolves around a cheque bounce of nearly Rs 9 crore, with legal proceedings continuing in court.
