Nilekani Panel Calls for Public Ideas to Fix India's Exam System! 🎓

A high-powered task force, led by Infosys co-founder and technology expert Nandan Nilekani, is actively seeking public suggestions to revolutionize India's examination system. Formed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this committee aims to address critical issues that have recently sparked nationwide concern and protests.

The move comes in the wake of the highly controversial NEET-UG paper leak and widespread student agitations, particularly a 36-day protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, highlighting alleged irregularities in national tests. These incidents have put the entire examination framework under intense scrutiny, prompting the government to seek comprehensive reforms.

Beyond just fixing loopholes, the Nilekani-led panel is tasked with a broader mission: to enhance accessibility and inclusion within the examination process, and crucially, to prioritize student well-being.

The committee emphasizes that the future of examinations must be fair, transparent, and supportive of all students.

The task force has extended an open invitation to all stakeholders, students, parents, educators, and the general public, to submit their innovative ideas and recommendations. Suggestions can be submitted in English, Hindi, or any regional language. The deadline for these submissions is September 13.
