Ambani announced a landmark commitment of ₹10 lakh crore over the next seven years to build sovereign compute infrastructure, including gigawatt-scale data centers in Jamnagar and a nationwide edge-compute network. The plan envisions leveraging Reliance’s green energy surplus to make high-powered computing as affordable and ubiquitous as mobile data.
The initiative is designed to democratize intelligence, enabling widespread access to powerful computing for businesses, schools, farmers, and households. Ambani highlighted practical applications already moving forward, such as Jio Shikshak for education and Jio Krishi for farmers, underscoring how AI can touch daily life while boosting productivity.
