This clarification aims to put an end to widespread concerns and misinformation circulating among the public regarding the use of this fuel.

The Ministry's statement directly addresses anxieties that E20 fuel might invalidate insurance policies, firmly asserting these fears are unfounded. The government also dismissed other claims, such as E20 causing widespread engine damage or attracting insects, labelling them as lacking any scientific basis. They emphasized that the Ethanol Blending Programme is scientifically validated and developed in close consultation with oil marketing companies, automobile manufacturers, and fuel-testing agencies.
