Wipro posts 4Q net profit of Rs 3,502 crore (up 12%), revenue at Rs 24,236 crore, and approves a Rs 15,000 crore buyback at Rs 250 per share.
Wipro Ltd reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,501.8 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, marking a 12.27% rise from the previous quarter's Rs 3,119 crore. The quarterly numbers reflect solid execution as the company navigates a competitive IT services landscape.
Revenue from operations for the fourth quarter stood at Rs 24,236.3 crore, up 7.69% year-on-year from Rs 22,504.2 crore, and up 2.88% from the previous quarter's Rs 23,555.8 crore. This shows continued top-line momentum even as the company adjusts to an AI-enabled demand environment.
The board approved a share buyback of up to 60 crore fully paid-up equity shares, representing about 5.7% of paid-up capital, at a price of Rs 250 per share. The total size of the buyback is up to Rs 15,000 crore, to be executed through the tender offer route on a proportionate basis. Promoters have indicated their intention to participate in the tender buyback.
CEO Srini Pallia emphasised that advancements in AI are reshaping client priorities and creating opportunities for deeper partnerships. He noted Wipro’s shift toward a services-as-a-software model through the AI Native Business & Platforms unit, and highlighted the strategic deal with the Olam Group as evidence of investments being made to capture scale in an AI-first world.
While the quarterly revenue growth is encouraging, the company did report a slight year-on-year dip in net profit compared to the Rs 3,569.6 crore in the same quarter last year, underscoring the need for careful execution as it scales its AI initiatives.
