Asian Games Opening: Sehrawat Replaces Toor as Flag-Bearer Alongside Bhaker!

Kabaddi ace Pawan Sehrawat will join shooting star Manu Bhaker as India's flag-bearers for the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games, set to open today in Japan. This last-minute change sees Sehrawat stepping in for shot-putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor, who unfortunately faced kit-related delays preventing his participation in the ceremony.

While the Indian contingent prepares for the grand opening, there have been growing concerns from several nations, including India, regarding the organizational aspects of the Games. Issues such as cramped lodging facilities and extensive travel times to training venues have drawn criticism. However, shooter Manu Bhaker has stepped forward with an encouraging message for her fellow athletes.

In a video message shared by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Bhaker acknowledged the potential for challenges but urged her teammates to maintain a positive outlook.

To all my fellow athletes from India, we will have some issues. I saw couple of issues circulated in social media and people telling me these are the issues,

she stated.

Bhaker emphasized the unique opportunity the Games present:

Regardless of whatever the issues we have, this is probably once in a lifetime opportunity and experience. We have to make sure that we enjoy the time rather than complaining.
