Delhi Police say Bandhu Maan Singh Shekhon, a key member of the Goldy Dhillon gang, was arrested in connection with multiple shootouts at Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, Canada, with a Chinese PX-3 pistol seized.
In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police’s crime branch arrested Bandhu Maan Singh Shekhon, a top operative linked to the Goldy Dhillon gang, in connection with several shootings at Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, Canada, this year. A Chinese PX-3 pistol was recovered during the arrest, officials said. The case has drawn attention to cross-border criminal networks and the reach of rival gang factions operating far from their home bases.
The cafe faced three shooting incidents, including an October attack that followed a reopening after earlier assaults in July and August. Surveillance and security measures outside the venue were stepped up in response to the recurring violence, and local police reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding residents and visitors.
The attacks were claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s factions, with the group releasing a video showing gunfire from inside a vehicle and asserting responsibility over the incidents. A social media post linked to the gang warned of further actions, citing alleged anti-religious sentiments expressed by Bollywood personalities as a motive.
Authorities noted that the accused allegedly coordinated some of the overseas attacks from India, highlighting the transnational dimension of the case. The latest development underscores ongoing policing efforts to disrupt criminal networks and prevent future violence linked to organized crime.
