A horrific incident unfolded recently on the Umarkhed-Dhanki road in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district, where a metal container packed with gelatin sticks, attached to a tractor, tragically exploded. The blast, which occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2026, resulted in the immediate death of four individuals and left five others with serious injuries.
According to initial reports from the police, the catastrophe was triggered when an air cylinder located near the tractor's tire exploded. This happened while welding work was being conducted on the vehicle, which was reportedly used for blasting operations. The intensity of the explosion was so severe that some people who were standing close to the tractor were thrown approximately 20 feet away by the force.
The injured, who are now receiving medical attention, include Anis (17), Wasid Khan Rashid Khan (32), Sheikh Javed Sheikh Babu (19), Sai. Johan Sai.
Mobin (14), Salman Khan Sherukhan (34), along with the tractor's owner, Apparao Bokse (54), and his son Vaibhav Bokse.
The tractor, bearing registration number MH 29 V 2528, is confirmed to belong to Apparao Bokse, a resident of Baladi.
