BREAKING: Trump Secures 'Majority Control' of Venezuela's 65BN Oil Reserves! 🇺🇸🇻🇪

President Donald Trump made a significant announcement on Friday, revealing a new oil agreement between the United States and Venezuela. According to Trump, the deal, brokered with Venezuela’s interim president Delcy RodrÃguez, grants the US "majority" control over 65 billion barrels of proven oil reserves.
The President shared details of the agreement on his social media platform, stating it was facilitated "through a partnership with private business" by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Trump highlighted that this acquisition comes at "no cost to the American Taxpayer" and is projected to more than double America's current oil reserves.
Secretary Rubio echoed this sentiment, calling it a "huge win for both the American and Venezuelan people."
Despite the bold claims, specifics regarding the agreement's structure, the precise oil fields or companies involved, and the method through which the US will exert "majority control" remain largely undisclosed. Venezuela boasts the world's largest proven oil reserves, estimated at 303 billion barrels.
This agreement comes after the US's involvement in the removal of former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro in January. Since then, Washington has been actively working to secure a stable flow of Venezuelan crude oil for US refineries. Simultaneously, there's been a push to promote American investment in the OPEC nation's struggling energy industry, which currently produces 1.25 million barrels per day.
The timing of this announcement is notable, as President Trump faces increasing pressure ahead of November's midterm elections due to rising gasoline prices.
Cheaper oil supplies and expanded output could potentially alleviate this pressure.
Furthermore, the US has also been exploring solutions to replenish its Strategic Petroleum Reserve, the nation's emergency oil stockpile.
This deal, if confirmed with its claimed terms, could have far-reaching implications for global energy markets and US energy independence.
