Emraan Hashmi Dominates Box Office with "Awarapan 2," Unveils "Gunmaaster G9" Teaser!

Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi is making headlines with a double dose of exciting news for his fans. His latest release, "Awarapan 2," is a massive box office success, and the first look teaser for his upcoming romantic-actioner, "Gunmaaster G9," has just been unveiled.

"Awarapan 2" has proven to be a blockbuster hit, nearing the coveted ₹140 crore mark in India net collections and projected to hit ₹200 crore globally. The film has achieved an astounding 202% profit margin in just ten days, making it the fifth-highest-grossing Bollywood release of 2026. This success marks a triumphant return for Emraan Hashmi, with "Awarapan 2" becoming his biggest grosser since "The Dirty Picture."

Amidst this box office glory, the makers of "Gunmaaster G9" released its first teaser on Tuesday (August 25, 2026).

Directed by Aditya Datt, the film promises a blend of pulpy action and romance, a style Emraan Hashmi's fans adore.

The teaser introduces Emraan as Eshwar, an ordinary dairy farm owner who, as a devotee of Lord Shiva, is willing to go to any lengths for his beloved.

"Gunmaaster G9" also stars Genelia D'Souza, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Singh in pivotal roles. The film's music, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, is expected to bring back a nostalgic charm for Emraan's long-time admirers. This project also reunites Emraan with director Aditya Datt, with whom he previously collaborated on films like "Aashiq Banaya Aapne" (2005) and "Dil Diya Hai" (2006).

Emraan expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Adi and I have worked together in the past and we share a wonderful relationship as creative collaborators.

We get each other intrinsically and when we are on set, we bring out the best in each other.”

While "Awarapan 2" soars, contrasting box office fortunes are seen with films like "Batwara 1947," which struggled to hit the ₹40 crore mark, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the film industry.

"Gunmaaster G9," produced by Deepak Mukut, Hunar Mukut, and Sangeeta Ahir, is set for a theatrical release on November 27.
