All Eyes on Feb 1 as Finance Minister Presents Union Budget 2026–27

The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver the Union Budget 2026-27 to the Lok Sabha tomorrow. After the Lower House presents the Budget, the budget document will be presented to the Rajya Sabha. Mrs Sitharaman will present her ninth consecutive Budget since she took office in 2019. The Narendra Modi government will present its third Budget during its third parliamentary term.

The complete Budget documents will be accessible through the Mobile App and website after the Budget Speech ends in Parliament. The Finance Minister will meet with approximately thirty students from various parts of the country after the Union Budget presentation.

The Finance Minister conducted pre-budget meetings to consult multiple stakeholders, including experts and representatives from economists, trade unions, the education and health sector, MSME, trade and services, industry, the financial sector, and capital markets.

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan conducted extensive pre-Budget meetings to review all agricultural and rural development matters, and he presented the Finance Minister with a report containing compiled suggestions. The upcoming Union Budget 2026-27 will include public input, which has been collected through multiple platforms during the budget development process.
