This new lineup promises significant advancements, powered by Google’s self-developed 2nm Tensor G6 silicon.
The Pixel 11 series arrives with Android 17 right out of the box, offering an impressive commitment of 7 years of OS updates and 7 years of security patches, setting a new benchmark for device longevity. Users can expect up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, catering to even the most demanding power users. For enhanced security, the phones also feature the dedicated Titan M3 security co-processor. A unique visual addition to the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL models is HiLight, an array of LED lights built around the camera flash, designed to notify users of incoming calls and Gemini AI interactions. Durability is also a key focus, with all Pixel 11 series phones boasting an IP68 rating for dust and water protection, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The Pro models further benefit from an anti-scratch coating on top.
Let's dive into the specifics of the new Pixel phones. The standard Pixel 11 features a vibrant 6.3-inch Actua display with a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 60 to 120 Hz and an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate its versatile camera setup, including a 48 MP main sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide lens, and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens, complemented by a 10.5 MP front camera. It will be available in Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus, and Obsidian colours.
The Pixel 11 Pro elevates the experience with a 6.3-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display, offering an even wider adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz and a dazzling 3,600 nits peak brightness. It houses a 4,850 mAh battery with similar 30W wired and 25W wireless charging capabilities. Across the Pixel 11 series, Google has introduced some exciting new camera tricks, including "Magic Capture" for enhanced photo editing, "Instant Night Sight" for clearer low-light shots, and even a built-in teleprompter, making content creation more accessible.
Accompanying the smartphones is the new Pixel Watch 5, available in 41mm and 45mm dial sizes. It sports an Actua 360 display, protected by Gorilla Glass 5, boasting 3,000 nits peak brightness and Always-On Display functionality, with a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz. Google claims an impressive battery life of 30 hours for the 41mm model and 40 hours for the 45mm model, both powered by a 465 mAh battery. Under the hood, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated processor, offers 64 GB of storage, and operates on WearOS 7.0. The Pixel Watch 5 is also IP68 rated and can withstand up to 5ATM pressure. It comes in appealing colours like Obsidian, Fog, Olive, and Canyon.
