Karnataka Attracts ₹1.53 Lakh Cr in Fresh Investments Ahead of Davos
Karnataka logs ₹1.53 lakh crore in new proposals post-GIM as it readies for a Davos WEF delegation, spanning manufacturing, renewables, GCCs, and data centres.
Fresh investment proposals worth ₹1.53 lakh crore have been lined up for Karnataka in the 11 months since the Global Investors Meet held in February 2025, with continued efforts to attract capital beyond the GIM. The state expects these proposals to be submitted to Karnataka Udyog Mitra and fast-tracked for approvals as the government travels to Davos for the World Economic Forum. The breakdown shows manufacturing and industrial projects accounting for ₹66,293 crore, wind and solar power ₹20,913 crore, GCCs ₹12,500 crore, and data centres ₹6,350 crore.
Key investments highlighted include Toyota Industries Engine's ₹1,330 crore project to manufacture gasoline and hybrid engines at Jigani near Bengaluru; QAI India’s ₹1,136 crore Quantum Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru; AT&S's ₹2,850 crore plant in Nanjangud to produce electronic components; Wipro Hydraulics’ ₹499 crore project to manufacture copper laminates for electronics and PCBs; and Enfold Biosciences' ₹490 crore enzyme manufacturing facility for pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Reliance Consumer Products plans a ₹1,622 crore beverage manufacturing facility at Mulawad Industrial Area.
The minister leading the delegation said these investments reflect Karnataka’s sustained drive and would extend beyond the GIM, with Davos-level discussions focusing on manufacturing, renewables, data infrastructure, and GCCs. The Davos visit, scheduled January 19–23, will bring together senior ministers and business leaders to explore collaboration, capital flows, and the role Karnataka can play as a hub for firms operating in and through India.
The investor interest spans renewable energy and data-driven sectors, signaling confidence in the state's growth trajectory and its ability to channel private capital into job-creating projects across manufacturing, technology, and science-based industries.
