Shocking Bromley Machete Attack: Man Fights for Life, 7 Arrested

A shocking incident on Bromley High Street in south London has left one man fighting for his life and three others injured following a violent "machete attack." Seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the stabbings, which prompted a significant police response on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 2:15 PM following reports of an altercation and individuals seen carrying machetes. Officers discovered four men who had sustained stab wounds. All were transported to the hospital, with one described as being in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene. One individual told the BBC they saw a fight erupt at the entrance of a KFC restaurant.

A male in a grey tracksuit pulled out a machete and ran further into KFC holding it up in the air,

the witness recounted, adding that "most people around KFC started running away." Forensic officers were later seen at the KFC premises, with evidence markers indicating the severity of the incident.

The fast-food chain has confirmed that a "serious incident" occurred inside its establishment.

A manager at Antonio's barbershop, located next to the KFC, also reported a woman entering their shop exclaiming, "lock the doors," highlighting the fear and urgency felt by those in the vicinity.

The seven arrested individuals remain in police custody as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding this brutal attack.
