Speculation had been rampant, fueled by an Oasis fan account and reports from The Scotsman, which even put odds at 4/1 for the legendary band's return to Worthy Farm.
The rumour mill went into overdrive, suggesting that Liam and his brother Noel might reunite for the iconic festival, especially after they reportedly came together for a 'Live 25 Tour' in 2025. Oasis has, of course, graced the Pyramid Stage twice before, in 1995 and 2004, cementing their place in Glastonbury history. However, Liam, 53, wasted no time in dousing the flames of anticipation with his characteristic directness.
Responding to the fan account's post, he declared, “

” A clear, albeit colourful, message from the rock 'n' roll star. This isn't the first time Liam has expressed his disdain for the festival's main stage.
Back in 2025, when asked about a potential return to the Pyramid Stage, he commented, “Hope not.” He elaborated further, saying, “
I like the other stages and the tents, but the main stage is like playing to a load of jamboree teachers. It's a load of divs dressed in Ty die (sic) clothes banging clogs and blowing up balloons all with psycho smiles and crusty eyes and red wine mouths.
” His brother, Noel Gallagher, has also previously taken aim at Glastonbury.
A year prior, Noel criticised the festival for "virtue-signalling" and described it as “a bit woke” and “kind of preachy.” Speaking on a podcast, the 59-year-old expressed his dislike for "little f * idiots waving flags around and making political statements, and bands taking the stage and saying", indicating a shared sentiment between the brothers regarding the festival's atmosphere. So, while fans might dream of an Oasis reunion at Glastonbury, it seems Liam Gallagher has made his feelings abundantly clear, leaving little room for doubt about the band's immediate festival plans.
