Greater Noida Woman Arrested for Stabbing South Korean Live-In Partner
A 22-year-old woman was remanded to 14 days in judicial custody after allegedly stabbing her 46-year-old South Korean live-in partner in Sector 150, Greater Noida, in a dispute over drinking.
A court on Monday remanded Lunjeana Pamai, 22, to 14 days of judicial custody after she allegedly stabbed her live-in partner, Duck Hee Yuh, 46, a South Korean national, in a residential society in Sector 150, Greater Noida. The incident occurred Sunday night and a case was registered at Knowledge Park police station.
The victim, who worked as a branch manager with a private firm in the city, died at Government Institute of Medical Sciences hospital where doctors declared him dead. The woman, a native of Manipur and currently not employed, reportedly took him to the hospital after the attack and is said to have lived with him for about two years, after they met at a party.
Police have said the couple had frequent quarrels, largely over the man’s drinking, which escalated into the fatal stabbing during an early-hours dispute. The body was sent for post-mortem after legal formalities. Investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about the relationship and the circumstances leading to the crime, and the accused has been remanded for 14 days.
