Live Near a Toll? NHAI's RajmargYatra App Now Offers Digital Monthly Pass!
Good news for daily commuters! NHAI's RajmargYatra app now lets residents within 20km of a toll plaza easily buy a digital monthly pass. Say goodbye to physical visits and paperwork!
Great news for frequent commuters! The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has just rolled out a game-changing update for those living near national highway toll plazas. Say goodbye to long queues and cumbersome paperwork because you can now purchase your monthly local pass directly from your smartphone, thanks to new features in the RajmargYatra mobile app. This move is set to significantly ease the daily travel for thousands.
The flagship new feature is the "Digital Local Pass" facility. If you reside within a 20-kilometer radius of an eligible toll plaza, you can now effortlessly buy an unlimited-travel monthly pass. Previously, this process involved a physical trip to the toll booth, along with carrying various supporting documents to prove your eligibility. Now, with just a few taps on your phone, this can all be done from the comfort of your home.
This innovative system works through a consent-based integration with prominent government platforms like DigiLocker and VAHAN. This means your verified address, vehicle details, and linked FASTag information are automatically pulled, streamlining the entire verification process. What's more, eligibility is confirmed using GIS-based location verification, completely eliminating the need for manual paperwork. The initial rollout of this digital pass is at the Mundka, Bakkarwala Toll Plaza on Urban Extension Road-II in Delhi, with plans to expand this convenience to many more plazas across the country in the coming months.
But that's not all! NHAI has also introduced the "MargMitra Help Centre" within the RajmargYatra app. This AI-assisted platform serves as a multilingual assistance point for all highway users. Whether you prefer typing or speaking, you can submit queries, feedback, or complaints in any of India's 22 scheduled languages. MargMitra covers a wide array of services, including FASTag recharge, KYC requirements, refund status checks, and general highway information. If an issue requires intervention, complaints can be lodged directly through the interface, automatically routing them to the relevant department. Users can even track their complaint's progress in real-time and file an appeal if they're not satisfied with the resolution. Additionally, you can check your FASTag blacklisting status, view pending e-notices, and report other issues, making it a truly comprehensive tool for highway users.
