Security forces along the Line of Control in the Pir Panjal range foiled an infiltration bid on Tuesday when troops spotted suspicious movement about 300 metres inside Indian territory in the Krishna Ghati sector, near the LoC, around 4 p.m. The alert responders engaged the intruder and neutralised one infiltrator, with no breach of the border reported. The operation underscores the zone's volatile dynamics and the Army's readiness.
Army officials said the incident was contained quickly, and the troops maintained superior control of the area. The response ensured there was no cross-border incursion, and the sector authorities continued patrolling, surveillance, and area domination to deter further attempts. Soldiers have been instructed to stay vigilant as weather and terrain along the LoC can favor infiltrators.
