A day after the Telangana High Court rejected the pre-arrest bail petition of Bandi Bageerath in the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act case, Cyberabad police intensified their search operations across Hyderabad and Karimnagar. Five police teams were seen conducting physical checks at Maitri Residency in Banjara Hills and at the residence of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar in Karimnagar as part of the ongoing operation. A lookout notice circular has been issued to deter the accused from fleeing the country, signaling the seriousness of the case. Investigators indicated that upon arrest, Bageerath would undergo mandatory medical examinations before being produced in court for remand. There is no official confirmation yet on whether the accused will surrender, though discussions around that possibility were noted on Saturday afternoon. The case was registered on May 8 at the Petbasheerabad police station, following a complaint by the mother of a 17-year-old girl who alleged sexual assault and emotional manipulation spanning several months.
Surveillance and technical teams are also analyzing location coordinates, digital trails, and other electronic data linked to the accused’s whereabouts. The operation underscores the authorities’ emphasis on tracing every lead and ensuring due process in a high-profile case that has drawn substantial public attention and political interest in the region.
