A 25-year-old student from Telangana, S Srinath Reddy, who had been pursuing higher studies in the United Kingdom for the past 14 months, was tragically found dead in his London room on June 23. Srinath, originally from Talamadla village in Telangana's Kamareddy district, was reportedly studying for a master's degree at De Montfort University.
The circumstances surrounding his death have raised serious questions for his family, particularly his father, Madhusudhan Reddy. The family revealed that Srinath had attended a friend's birthday party in London on the night of June 22. Madhusudhan recalled speaking to his son that same night, noting that Srinath sounded normal and cheerful, with no indication of any distress.
However, the following morning, June 23, Srinath's roommate discovered him dead. A relative of the family, whose son also resides in London, reported that the roommate allegedly claimed Srinath died by hanging. A critical point of concern for the family is the alleged delay by the roommate in informing others about the incident. This delay has fueled doubts and prompted the family to question the sequence of events leading to Srinath's death.
The London police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident. Meanwhile, Srinath's grieving family has issued a heartfelt appeal to both the Central and Telangana governments.
