Hyderabad to host Telangana–North East Techno-Cultural Festival

The Telangana Government, in partnership with the Governor’s Office and the Ministry for the Development of North Eastern Region, is set to host the Telangana–North East India Connect: A Techno-Cultural Festival in Hyderabad from November 20 to 27. The event will unfold in two phases, first at Hitex Exhibition Centre from November 20 to 22 and then at Raj Bhavan from November 25 to 27. The inaugural session at Hitex will bring together the Governor, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, and official delegations from across the North East.

The first phase will showcase Fine Arts and Performing Arts, supported by literary sessions, film screenings, youth-centric programmes and exhibitions featuring products from women’s Self-Help Groups. The festival aims to foster cultural exchange, showcase North East talents to Telangana audiences, and create opportunities through art, culture, and entrepreneurship.

Beyond cultural showcases, the festival is envisioned as a platform where technology enhances storytelling and connectivity—blending traditional arts with digital avenues to boost tourism and support local artisans, particularly SHG producers. Organisers hope the two-city, two-phase format will draw visitors, students, and professionals, strengthening ties between Telangana and North Eastern states while highlighting Hyderabad as a hub for innovation, culture, and inclusive growth.

Attendees can look forward to a curated calendar of performances, screenings, literary sessions, and interactive programmes spanning both venues. The event underscores a strategic push to position Telangana as a premier destination for cross-regional collaboration, arts, and skill development, with plans to expand in future editions.
