PM Modi Opens 5th Chief Secretaries Conference in New Delhi
Prime Minister Modi presides over Delhi's three-day Chief Secretaries Conference, outlining governance reforms and stronger Center-State collaboration to drive inclusive growth and human capital development.
The fifth National Conference of Chief Secretaries was presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in New Delhi. Tomorrow, he will also serve as conference chair. Mr. Modi claimed in a social media post that he had enlightening conversations about a range of governance and reform-related topics during the conference.
The goal of the three-day conference, which got underway yesterday, is to improve the Center-State relationship by organizing continuous discussions about national development priorities. PM Modi gives an insight from his X handle, quoting,

This conference, which is based on the Prime Minister's vision of cooperative federalism, acts as a platform for collaboration between the Center and the States, creating a single plan to maximize the nation's potential for human capital and promote inclusive, future-ready growth.
The conference's theme was "Human Capital for Viksit Bharat," and it covered strategies and best practices that states and Union Territories should adopt. Five major areas—early childhood education, schooling, skills, higher education, sports, and extracurricular activities—are given particular attention for in-depth discussion under this theme.
AgriStack for Smart Supply Chains and Market Linkages, Technology in Governance-Opportunities, Risks, and Mitigation, and State Deregulation are among the six special sessions at the conference. Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swadeshi; One State, One World-Class Tourist Destination; and Techniques for a Post-Left Wing Extremism Future.
