Millions of students across the country are waiting as CBSE gears up to announce the Class 12 Result 2026, with signs pointing to a May release just like in recent years.
Historically, CBSE has declared results between mid-May and late May. After the exams wrap up in early May, result compilation and verification take a couple of weeks, setting up a likely May 2026 announcement.
Past trends show 2025 results in mid-May, 2024 on May 13, and 2023 on May 12. The pandemic era disrupted timelines, delaying 2022 results to July, but the board has largely returned to its pre-pandemic May schedule.
Once declared, students can check their scores on official portals cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. DigiLocker and the UMANG app will also host the results. Students should keep their roll number, school number, and admit card ID handy to avoid last-minute scrambling.
After the online declaration, provisional mark sheets can be downloaded immediately, with original marksheets distributed later through schools. If a student is unhappy with a score, CBSE will open windows for verification of marks, re-evaluation, and photocopies of answer sheets. Students who do not clear one or more subjects will have the option of appearing for compartment exams.
