Get ready, Bluey fans! A first-look trailer for The Bluey Movie has just dropped, giving us a peek into the highly anticipated big-screen adaptation of the beloved Australian animated series. The trailer made its exciting debut at Disney's D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, creating a buzz among attendees.
The short but sweet trailer features everyone's favorite Heeler pups, Bluey and Bingo, engaged in a classic game of "keepy-uppy" with a balloon. You can hear Bluey cheering, "Good one, Bingo!" followed by Bingo's "Thanks, Bluey." But the fun quickly turns into a chase when they accidentally push the balloon forwards instead of upwards, with Bluey shouting, "Don’t let it touch the ground!" The duo races after it, only for the balloon to hit the grass and pop, dramatically revealing the movie's title.
Producers shared at the fan event that the film
takes place on an action-packed day when a big surprise changes everything for Bluey and her family.
Fans at D23 even got to play a surprise game of keepy-uppy with balloons, mirroring the trailer, and a new movie poster featuring Bluey and a balloon was unveiled.
The movie is set to hit cinemas on August 6 next year.
It's written and directed by Bluey creator Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio, the team behind the popular show, in collaboration with BBC Studios. The series, known for its imaginative play and relatable family dynamics, follows Bluey, Bingo, their mum Chilli, and dad Bandit, and promises to bring their charm to the big screen.
