A Greater Noida couple dies after suspected poisoning; their three children, aged 10, 8, and 4, are hospitalised but recovering as investigators probe possible family issues.
In Greater Noida’s Ecotech 3 area, a troubling scene unfolded around 7 am when a couple was found unconscious in their bedroom after their eldest daughter woke up and alerted neighbours. Police said the three children—aged 10, 8 and 4—also showed symptoms and were rushed to hospital along with the parents. The mother and father were declared dead on arrival, while the children were admitted with poisoning symptoms and later moved to a hospital in Delhi for further care.
Shravan Pal, 40, and Neelam Pal, 38, were originally from Prayagraj and had been living in Sadullapur village for several years. Shravan worked at a printing press in Sector 63. The autopsy of the couple will determine the exact cause of death, with the bodies sent for examination as investigations continue.
Police said preliminary inquiries point to poisoning reportedly linked to domestic or family issues. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Santosh Kumar said investigators are recording statements from neighbours and relatives to piece together what happened.
Meanwhile, the children, who are now out of danger, are receiving medical care; the incident has shaken the community as authorities work to uncover the full story.
