AP GST receipts rise 5.8% through Nov 2025 on stronger activity
Andhra Pradesh posts a 5.8% uptick in net GST collections through November 2025, driven by higher economic activity and strict compliance, even as November shows moderation after rate changes.
The Andhra Pradesh government reports a 5.80% rise in net GST collections through November 2025, reflecting heightened economic activity and robust compliance. Enforcement measures and reform transitions have helped maintain revenue momentum even as reforms continue.
November 2025, however, brought a softer momentum for collections. The impact comes from GST rate reductions announced on automobiles, cement, FMCG, consumer electronics, and dairy products effective September 22, 2025, along with the withdrawal of GST on life and medical insurance and the compensation cess on most items except tobacco products. The November figures relate to business transactions from October 2025 and show a moderated pace compared with earlier months. Despite sector-wide declines, disciplined compliance and volume growth from lower rates cushioned the fall, enabling total revenue to reach about 74% of the targeted level.
In November 2025, net GST collections stood at ₹2,697 crore, while total commercial tax revenue including under other Acts amounted to ₹4,124 crore. The numbers highlight revenue resilience during the ongoing reform period, underpinned by enforcement in tax compliance and steady business activity.
