An ex-Afghan MP calls for accountability as Pakistan-Afghanistan clashes intensify, with Kabul bombarded and regional tensions rising.
An exiled Afghan MP, Mariam Solaimankhil, has urged India to demand accountability for what she terms Pakistan's 'terroristic deep state policies' as border clashes flare into what she sees as an 'open war' between the two neighbours. She critiques Pakistan as a 'military dictatorship' run by generals in Rawalpindi, alleging that some factions profit from war and manipulate media to project strength while war continues. She adds that the region must not be drawn into further deception and warns that the so-called victories are often exaggerated online. "The gig is up for Pakistan. I think the drapes are pulled, and we can see the full picture," she says, insisting the international community should press for accountability and deter further destabilisation.
