The attack unfolded in a classroom when the suspect used a kitchen knife and sprayed an ant killer in a classmate’s face before stabbing another pupil. He faces two counts of attempted murder, as well as charges of possessing a knife on school premises without good reason and unlawfully administering a noxious substance to a third child. Prosecutors said the alleged attacks were filmed on the defendant’s phone. The teen was at large for about three hours before being arrested near a mosque. He appeared in Westminster Magistrates’ Court wearing a grey prison-issue tracksuit, and was remanded to a youth detention facility to appear at the Old Bailey on 27 February.
