Bajaj Housing Finance posts a 21% YoY net profit rise to Rs 665 crore in Q3FY26, with strong NII growth, expanding AUM and solid asset quality fueling investor optimism.
Bajaj Housing Finance reported a solid Q3FY26, with net profit rising 21% year-on-year to Rs 665 crore, driven by a 19% jump in net interest income (NII) to Rs 963 crore. The assets under management (AUM) climbed 23% YoY to Rs 1.33 lakh crore, underscoring the lender's expanding loan book and market presence.
Total net income rose 24% YoY to Rs 1,153 crore, while operating efficiency improved as expenses edged down to 19% of net total income from 20% a year earlier.
Asset quality remains strong, with gross NPA at 0.27% and net NPA at 0.11%. Loan losses and provisions for Q3FY26 stood at Rs 56 crore versus Rs 35 crore a year ago.
The quarter included a one-time exceptional item of Rs 13.14 crore related to an increase in gratuity liability following changes in India’s New Labour Codes issued in November 2025.
The stock reacted to the results, with shares rising as much as 5.65% to an intraday high of Rs 94.77.
Overall, the results point to sustained growth momentum for Bajaj Housing Finance, supported by healthy NII growth, expanding AUM and robust asset quality, even as market indicators suggest cautious short-term momentum.
