Kozhikode's IIM-K climbs to 78th in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 in Business and Management Studies, marking its first-ever top-100 global spot.
IIM-Kozhikode (IIM-K) has broken into the global Top 100 in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, ranking 78th worldwide in the narrow field of Business and Management Studies. The milestone marks the institute's first entry into the coveted Top 100 in this ranking and signals a growing international footprint for Indian management education.
QS evaluated 6,277 institutions globally, with 1,912 ranked across 55 narrow subjects and five broad subject areas, resulting in over 21,000 ranking entries. IIM-K's ascent comes in a year when Indian institutions collectively posted notable gains in subject rankings.
Historically, IIM-K has shown a steady ascent—from the 401–450 band in 2021 to the 151–200 band in 2024, then to an individual rank of 141 in 2025, and now to 78 in 2026.
