ICSE/ISC 2026 Board Dates Announced: ICSE Feb 17, ISC Feb 12
CISCE reveals the 2026 timetable for ICSE and ISC, with thousands of students set to sit exams from February to April.
The CISCE has released the timetable for the 2026 board exams, with Class 12 (ISC) slated to run from February 12 to April 6 and Class 10 (ICSE) from February 17 to March 30. This year, about 2.6 lakh candidates will appear for ICSE while around 1.5 lakh students are expected to take ISC, signaling a large but organized examination season. The schedule covers 75 ICSE subjects and 50 ISC subjects, framed to provide a balanced academic calendar and reasonable preparation time between major subjects, according to Joseph Emannuel, Chief Executive and Secretary of the council.
The timetable aligns with reports of a broad participation across the country, with estimates suggesting over 4 lakh students across both boards. Timetables and arrangements are designed to ensure smooth conduct of exams while allowing students some breathing space between critical subjects. Examinations are set to conclude in late March for ICSE and early April for ISC, with results anticipated in April-May 2026.
Officials emphasise that candidates should check the detailed date sheet for their specific subjects and centers, as the calendar aims to reduce clashes and provide sufficient reading time between major subjects. The plan reflects CISCE's effort to uphold a fair and transparent evaluation process while keeping students on a steady preparation path during the academic year.
