Mumbai police arrest Dhurandhar actor Nadeem Khan after a 41-year-old domestic worker accuses him of raping her for about a decade, under a promise of marriage.
Actor Nadeem Khan has been arrested in Mumbai on charges of repeatedly raping a domestic worker, allegedly over nearly a decade, after promising to marry her. The complainant, a 41-year-old woman who previously worked in several actors' homes, approached the police after Khan refused to marry her.
The offences are said to have occurred at Khan's residence in Malwani, with the case initially filed at Versova police station before being transferred to Malwani. Police say the arrest was made based on the woman’s statement and that investigators are continuing to verify the allegations.
According to the complainant, the relationship began in 2015 and continued for about ten years, with sexual encounters taking place both at the victim's home and at Khan's residence in Versova. She believed marriage would eventually happen but decided to come forward when the promise remained unfulfilled.
