A three-member Bangladesh contingent is cleared to travel: shooter Robiul Islam, coach Sharmin Akhter, and jury member Saima Feroze. The group will compete in New Delhi as the championships run from February 2 to 14, following government approval.
Security measures are stringent, reflecting the use of rifles and pistols in competition. Weapons will be handed over to the NRAI team after customs at the airport and will be returned to the athletes at the shooting range for training and competition, ensuring tight control throughout the stay.
Bangladesh recently cited security concerns over its cricket team, but the indoor shooting event is viewed as a separate, tightly controlled affair with government and federation support.
