A Delhi court on Thursday, November 27, 2025, remanded Jasir Bilal Wani, a key accused in the Red Fort blast case, to seven days of custody with the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Investigators say Wani was involved in providing technical support for terror attacks, including modifying drones and attempting to assemble rockets ahead of the November 10 blast.
Wani was arrested in Srinagar by the NIA on November 17, 2025. The agency alleges he helped facilitate attacks by technical means, including drone modifications and attempts to manufacture rockets, signaling a broader push to unravel the network behind the Delhi strike.
He was produced in the court of the Principal Sessions and District Judge, Anju Bajaj Chandna, at Patiala House Court after the expiry of a 10-day custody granted on November 18.
In related developments, the NIA also arrested a Faridabad man for harbouring the Delhi blast accused; the man is described as a resident of Qazigund in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag. Investigators say the case points to a wider web of support behind the attack, and the agency is pursuing additional custodial interrogations.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, with officials stressing the seriousness of drone- and weapon-related planning in the Red Fort incident. Wani’s custody will allow investigators to question him further about the alleged logistics and networks involved in the operation.
