Zach Bryan canceled his Tulsa headlining show due to extreme and dangerous weather sweeping Oklahoma. The singer-songwriter is on the first leg of a world tour supporting his chart-topping album, With Heaven on Top, when a weather front prompted authorities to issue warnings of a low tornado threat, damaging winds, and ping-pong sized hail. In a social post addressed to his fellow Oklahomans, Bryan said, “I am being forced by my team to cancel the show tonight due to the threat of extreme and dangerous weather.” He added, “I’ve never canceled a show in my life but I unfortunately don’t have a choice in the matter.” The post included a screenshot of a text from a team member explaining, “we have no choice but to cancel the show. I just had a meeting with the police, school, and meteorologists and the consensus is that we would be putting people’s safety at risk by trying to put on the show.” Bryan responded with, “Are you kidding.”

Refunds are being issued automatically, and Saturday’s Tulsa performance is still scheduled to go on as planned. The cancellation marks a rare moment for the artist, who has traveled with a demanding tour schedule since kicking off the trek in St. Louis on March 7.
