Everyone’s posting “couple goals”,

and I’m here with chai, chips,

and 7 open tabs of hot guys

who exist only in fiction.

Masi asks, “Shaadi kab karegi?”

Aunty, first let me find someone

who replies before my tea gets cold.

Still— I play

a lovey-dovey playlist on Spotify,

do my skincare,

whisper “main khud ki crush hoon.”.

I love you... like a friend...

I text my crush:

“Drink water, take rest, don't overthink.”

He texts back: “Acha… mummy ho kya?”

No.

Just a girl who sends self-care

like love letters.

A bit delulu. A bit shy.

Because if I can’t say “I like you,”

I’ll say “take care”

and underline it

with three heart emojis

and one badly timed meme.

Play the casual game,

Maybe he likes it...

I Wish I Loved Him Back...

And of course

there’s that one sweet friend

who calls me "beautiful"...

and sends “good morning ☀️🌻” texts

like we’re married in another universe.

But yaar…

I want butterflies,

not polite admiration

and shared Netflix passwords.

Because some people give comfort,

but I’m still holding out

for crazy chemistry + eye contact

like a K-drama...

the kind that ruins playlists

and inspires poetry.

Another cousin, another lehenga.

I’ve danced to “London Thumakda”

so many times,

my feet want British citizenship.

I was anyways here for the hot guys and paanipuri.

Mom’s WhatsApp University

Mom forwards:

“Haldi cures heartbreak. Trust ancient science.”

I sip turmeric milk post-breakup.

Still single.

Now I have stained yellow teeth.

No wonder I'm still single.

Selfie is Eternal

I could be crying,
