Jio-Google Gemini Pro now free for all unlimited 5G users, Gemini 3 included

Reliance Jio and Google have announced a major upgrade to their Gemini Pro AI offering, expanding access to every eligible unlimited 5G user and packaging Google's Gemini 3 model into the free plan. The update marks a milestone in democratising next-generation AI tools across India.

Under the refreshed plan, the Gemini Pro package — valued at ₹35,100 — is now free for 18 months for qualifying users. The expansion moves beyond the previous youth-only eligibility first announced on 30 October 2025, opening the benefit to the entire unlimited 5G customer base.

Activation remains simple: eligible users can tap the 'Claim Now' banner in the MyJio app to start the 18‑month access. The inclusion of Google’s Gemini 3 means subscribers gain access to state‑of‑the‑art AI capabilities, with improved reasoning and coding abilities.

Industry watchers say the move could accelerate AI adoption in India by making advanced tools accessible at scale, while questions about long-term terms and the sustained value of the service linger as the market watches how Gemini 3 compares to other AI offerings.
