Netanyahu warns Iran's growing missile reach endangers the world as he visits Arad after Iranian strikes.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Arad on Sunday after Iranian missile strikes, arguing that Iran poses a threat to the entire world. "If you want proof that Iran endangers the entire world, the last 48 hours have given it," he said, adding that the United States and Israel are fighting together on behalf of everyone.
Netanyahu warned that Iran fired an intercontinental ballistic missile toward Diego Garcia, about 4,000 kilometres away, signaling expanded reach into Europe and noting that Iran has previously struck European targets, including Cyprus.
He drew attention to an attack on Jerusalem near the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Al Aqsa Mosque, saying, "By dint of a miracle, again, no one was hurt." He argued that the three sites were nevertheless targets and linked this to the broader threat posed by Iran’s ballistic missile programme.
The remarks emphasized a global security challenge, with Netanyahu urging continued cooperation with the United States and allies as the conflict unfolds and tensions rise across regions.
