In a particularly brutal case, a Home Guard identified as Manjula was tragically killed by her husband in what appears to be a premeditated act. The accused reportedly lured Manjula to a meeting under the guise of reconciliation, only to stab her approximately 20 times. This horrifying attack unfolded in front of their own children. Investigations reveal that the husband, who was allegedly addicted to online betting, had even recorded videos expressing his intention to take both his and Manjula's lives. He has since been arrested by authorities, and a case has been registered.
In another distressing event, a 22-year-old woman, Aati Hangma Suba, a native of Sikkim working as a receptionist, was murdered by her male friend following a heated argument. The incident occurred in the Bellandur area, where Aati and the accused, Purba Lepcha from Darjeeling, had been living together after moving to Bengaluru about a month ago. Police report that the dispute escalated over the accused's suspicion of Aati being in contact with another man, a recurring issue that led to frequent disagreements. During the altercation, Purba allegedly attacked Aati with a kitchen knife, slitting her throat and killing her on the spot. Bellandur police swiftly responded to the scene, apprehending the accused, and commencing further investigations. The victim's body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
