The announcement was made by BJP chief Nitin Nabin during a press conference held at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday (September 9, 2026).

Nitin Nabin stated that Prime Minister Modi's birthday will be observed as "Seva Diwas" (Day of Service), setting the tone for the campaign that will run until October 17. Throughout this period, various programs and events are planned across the country, all designed to underscore PM Modi's enduring commitment to public service and his efforts in driving development and implementing welfare schemes, particularly for the most marginalized sections of society.

The "Seva Sankalp" campaign will focus on the tangible changes brought about in the lives of ordinary citizens during PM Modi's quarter-century in public service. According to the BJP chief, the party intends to take the message of Modi's public service to every individual, emphasizing his vision for the nation.

Nabin highlighted that PM Modi has instilled hope among India's youth and championed a paradigm shift towards women-led development, empowering a significant demographic.

Furthermore, Nabin underscored the government's impactful welfare measures, claiming that an impressive 25 crore families have been lifted out of poverty under PM Modi's leadership.

He also credited Modi with transforming India's economic standing, moving it from the "fragile five" to a rapidly growing economy.
