Lucy Davis, beloved by many as Dawn Tinsley in the original UK version of "The Office," has shared a deeply personal update about her health, revealing she has been diagnosed with "incurable" breast cancer.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 53-year-old actress disclosed that she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer a year and a half ago. The cancer has regrettably metastasized, or spread, to her bones, specifically affecting her spine, right hip, and ribs. Davis confirmed that due to the advanced stage, the cancer is considered incurable, and it is "too late for chemo."
The daughter of comedian Jasper Carrott, Davis emphasized a crucial point about early detection, noting that the initial indication she felt was not a distinct "lump" but rather a "hard spot" that was "really tiny." She admitted she "almost didn't bother getting it checked" and passionately urged her followers to "not ignore anything" and to "get everything checked out" promptly.
Despite the profound challenges, Davis shared her inspiring outlook on life. "As of now, I'm trying to live out whatever might be left of my life in as fun a way as I possibly can," she wrote.
