Crypto Billionaire Pours Another £4M into Reform UK's War Chest!

Nigel Farage's Reform UK party has significantly boosted its campaign funds with another £4 million donation from British crypto billionaire Ben Delo. This latest contribution brings Delo's total backing to Reform UK to a staggering £8 million, as the party gears up for the next general election.

Delo, who was previously pardoned by Donald Trump for issues related to an anti-money laundering program in his business, has openly stated his intent to help “build a war chest” for the party. The businessman, who was convicted four years ago in the US, was pardoned by the former US president. Reform UK believes that Delo, who was formerly based in Hong Kong, will not be impacted by the new overseas donor cap implemented in the UK.

This cap requires donors to be on the UK domestic electoral register for at least 12 months.

While Delo's contributions grow, new figures from the Electoral Commission show that the party did not receive any money in the second quarter of the year from Thailand-based crypto investor Christopher Harborne. Harborne had previously given £15 million to Reform UK since the general election, in addition to a £5 million “gift” directly to Mr.

Farage before that. This £5 million payment to Farage is currently under investigation by parliament's standards watchdog to determine if it should have been declared. Farage maintains he was not required to declare it, even triggering a by-election last month to let voters decide the issue.

However, an adverse finding could lead to another by-election or even his rejection from Parliament.

Reform UK's total donations, now standing at £5.3 million, significantly outstrip those received by other major parties.

In comparison, Labour received £3.5 million, the Conservatives £2.8 million, and the Liberal Democrats £1.3 million.

Notable donors to Labour include Autoglass founder Gary Lubner and supermarket tycoon Lord Sainsbury, while entrepreneur Ali Mosawi contributed £550,000.
