Two more overground workers tied to the Red Fort blast are in NIA custody, as investigators widen the probe into weapon-supply networks linked to the incident.
New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two more overground workers of the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH) who were actively involved in the November 10, 2025 bomb blast near the Red Fort and had supplied weapons to the prime accused in the terror attack. The blast occurred in the evening near the iconic complex, with the vehicle involved a Hyundai i20 driven by Dr. Nabi, a resident of Pulwama who worked at Faridabad’s Al-Falah University. The newly arrested suspects are Zameer Ahmad Ahangar, a resident of Ganderbal, and Tufail Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Srinagar. So far, the NIA has arrested 11 people in connection with the Delhi blast, which left multiple fatalities, including the prime accused, Umer Un Nabi. Investigators described the explosion as the result of panic and desperation amid a larger crackdown on what agencies have called a “white-collar terror module.” In the days before the blast, police in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and other states conducted raids that led to the recovery of nearly 3,000 kg of explosives and other bomb-making materials. The NIA said Ahangar and Bhat were active overground workers who supplied weapons to the prime accused and were formally arrested for their role in the conspiracy behind the Delhi attack. The agency stressed that the investigation aims to unveil the complete conspiracy behind the attack and to dismantle the broader network involved.
