New documents reveal Epstein proposed introducing a Russian woman to Prince Andrew, with emails discussing a potential dinner and private time at Buckingham Palace. The revelations are part of millions of pages released by U.S. authorities.
In August 2010, Epstein told Andrew, who is addressed as "The Duke," that he had "a friend who I think you might enjoy having dinner with" and said she would be in London from August 20 to 24. The messages indicate Andrew asked what Epstein had told her about him and whether she would be bringing a message from Epstein.
In a subsequent exchange, Andrew replied that he would be in Geneva on August 22 but "would be delighted to see her." Epstein described the woman as 26, Russian, clever and beautiful, adding that she had Andrew's email. There is no confirmation in the materials that any meeting occurred.
Weeks later Epstein contacted Andrew during a stay in London, writing: "What time would you like me... we will also need ... have private time." Andrew replied, "Delighted for you to come here to BP. Come with whomever and I’ll be here free from 1600ish to 2000." It remains unclear whether a dinner at Buckingham Palace ever took place.
Andrew, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, was stripped of his royal titles last year over his association with Epstein. The release of the documents continues to raise questions about the extent of the royal family’s ties to Epstein’s network.
