Commercial LPG Prices Down! Big Relief for Businesses Across India
Good news for hotels and restaurants! Commercial LPG cylinder prices have been cut by up to ₹183.50. Find out the latest rates in your city and what it means for consumers!
Consumers can breathe a sigh of relief as commercial LPG cylinder prices have seen a significant reduction across various cities in India. For the first time this year, Indian Oil has announced a cut in the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders, with reductions ranging from ₹173 to ₹183.50. This welcome change became effective from July 1.
While commercial LPG rates have decreased, the prices for 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged. Similarly, rates for Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), which were last adjusted in May, have also held steady. This means the immediate benefit of this price cut will primarily be felt by businesses.
For instance, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs ₹2,930 in Delhi, ₹2,885.50 in Mumbai, and ₹3,106 in Chennai. This move offers significant relief to establishments like hotels, restaurants, and other commercial enterprises that rely heavily on these cylinders for their operations.
The government confirmed that the full supply of domestic LPG, PNG, and CNG is being maintained nationwide. The reduction in commercial LPG prices comes after the restoration of supplies to pre-crisis levels last week. Supply concerns, previously influenced by the West Asia conflict, have eased, and restrictions on commercial LPG supplies have been lifted due to improved domestic production and anticipated imported LPG cargoes. This ensures stability and availability in the market, allowing businesses to plan better.
